Naos Design
Miyama Restaurant in Milan is an interior design project curated by Naos Design, where Japanese tradition and contemporary aesthetics coexist with refined balance. Within this vision, Fietta Prestige Furniture developed a series of custom restaurant furnishings, designed to meet the operational needs of the space while integrating seamlessly into the architectural concept.
From the entrance, the bespoke wall claddings create a continuous visual flow that guides guests through the restaurant. The cashier area and back counter were fully customized, with cabinetry conceived to ensure functionality, order and visual harmony with the material palette defined by the architects. The same design care extends to the bar area, where the counter cladding, the back bar unit and the three-shelf bottle display align with the dark woods and warm marbles that characterize the interior.
In the sushi bar, Fietta Prestige reinterpreted Japanese linearity through refined claddings and made-to-measure surfaces that enhance the gestures of service while preserving a balance between rigor and softness. This material continuity extends across corridors and transition zones, where dedicated wall coverings contribute to a cohesive and enveloping atmosphere.
One of the project’s most distinctive elements is the system of divan separators crafted with liquid-effect laminate slats, a precise and expressive feature that adds depth and movement to the space. The same design language continues in the ceiling slats and the low dividing walls, subtly outlining functional areas with elegance.
The development of custom restaurant furniture also included technical elements such as sliding shutters on rail systems, installed near the cashier and the bar to ensure operational privacy without disrupting the visual flow. Completing the intervention are the wardrobe doors, service cabinets and restroom mirrors—all designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing architectural rhythm.
The entire project is built on a sophisticated balance of materials and light. Backlit boiserie, soft technical fabrics and dark woods interact in a coherent design vocabulary, while warm and controlled lighting—from integrated light cuts to custom table lamps—creates an intimate, refined atmosphere suited to high-end dining.
Fietta Prestige’s work for Miyama Restaurant highlights the company’s ability to interpret complex hospitality projects through custom restaurant furniture where craftsmanship, technical precision and aesthetic coherence coexist. Every element was designed and produced with careful attention to materials, finishes and proportions, ensuring flawless execution aligned with the designer’s vision.
Miyama Restaurant stands out for its contemporary elegance, not guided by trends but grounded in a unique and recognizable identity. Fietta Prestige’s bespoke furnishings play a decisive role in establishing this atmosphere, bringing together Italian craftsmanship, design quality and a deep respect for the Japanese spirit that inspires the project.
